Fundraiser for March of Dimes!

I'm helping out Primary Possibilities!  I contributed towards there Math bundle.  Check it out!

Over 40 TpT sellers have come together to create bundles to benefit the March of Dimes.  We decided to put these bundles together in honor of Taytum Connor.  "Teachers for Taytum" will donate all of the profits made from the bundles in Taytum’s honor to help support the research of the March of Dimes, March for Babies.  Please check out the bundles that are available below.  There is something for everyone.

Taytum Connor was born at 29 weeks.  Taytum received medications that are available because of research promoted by the March of Dimes.  Taytum's care in the NICU would not be possible without the research and funding March of Dimes has dedicated to preterm babies.  You can read more about Taytum and the Connor family's story here.
There are several different bundles that are available for purchase.  Check out the different options below.  Click on the bundle picture below for purchase.  Each bundle is only $10... an incredible value and an incredible cause!

Linking Up with Smart Kids

Photobucket

Smart Kids is having a weekly Wednesday Linky.  This one is all about what we find out in the blogging world.  Come on, I know you all stalk around looking at ideas, pinning things for later, adding things to your TPT wish lists!

I was out and about looking around the Internet on Sunday, avoiding scooping the snow/ice/sleet mix.  When I stumbled upon Lawren over at Teaching is a Royal Adventure.

I was admiring her cute, yet totally academic soccer kiddos.  We will be working on telling time in the next month or two and I just don't know if I can do the paper plate clock again.  Honestly, there are only so many paper plate clocks a person can make oversee.  The idea that we could work on some fine motor and listening skills as well works for me!

I think I will have my lovely daughters help me prep the materials over spring break.  Lawren made everything look easy with the prepped baggies for each child.  I will still have my kiddos cut things out on their own -- they need fine motor practice, but I love the simplicity of passing it all out at once.  Nice and neat!

How do you change things up?  Is there any one lesson or topic that you can't do "one more time"?  I am changing up my end of the year ~ I usually do a camping thing, complete with a woodland creature research project, but I am saving that for summer school this year.  I'm going to go with an ocean animal/beach theme.  Our district bought Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Journeys, and the first grade curriculum comes with trade books!!  One of them is Amazing Whales -- a sign I think!

Go check out what others have found!

S"NO"W motivation and a FREEBIE!

I have really limited motivation today.  I am tired of the snow/ice/sleet mix, yet I am secretly hoping for a snow day tomorrow.  It's too yucky to leave the house, but I haven't bothered to get dressed yet -- pjs are still ok at 10 am -- right??

Here's one of my kiddos working early Friday morning.  He's so dedicated.  Getting that homework done!

I decided to motivate myself to make up some tally and graphing activities for late March and April.  Working ahead!!  Ohh yeah!!  The best part of that is that I am sharing the love!  I would appreciate any feedback you can give.  Thanks!

March Currently

How can it be March already?  I hardly taught in February.  We had 3 snow days, 1 teacher in-service day, 1 day for Parent Teacher conferences, 1 day off due to Parent Teacher conferences, AND President's day off.  That's SEVEN Days off during the shortest month of the year.  YIKES!!

On to March, which is arriving like a LION, here in Kansas.  U.N.A.C.C.E.P.T.A.B.L.E.

I have moved on and I wish winter would too!

Here's the March Currently

Listening to KU - OSU  game.  Sadly, my beloved Jayhawks lost.

Loving that I am home alone.  Peace and Quiet, even the dogs have decided to let me be.  I have been able to sit around in yoga pants and my robe ALL day!!!  WINNER!

Thinking I absolutely have to buckle down and get super serious about blogging and creating things for TPT.  Sallie Mae is not my friend.  They want their $$  lots of it.  (I went back to school at 30, somehow the ex and I thought at the time go thru a program speedy quick -- it'll be ok that it costs more.  Get a Master's Degree, how else can you move over on the pay scale?  What one Master's Degree is not enough??  Get Administrative Degree.  Ohhh yeah, have marriage blow up -- and try and send three daughters to college.  Thus the endless debt to Sallie Mae!)
Pity party over!  Moving ON!!!

Wanting a Hot Fudge Sundae  enough said!

Needing Warmer Weather -- See above too much SNOW!

???  What or Who could  Paisley and Emerson be??

I did it! I made a Facebook page!

You're all probably thinking, she did it, she F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. posted something!

It's true I have the best intentions, but life seems to be getting the best of me.  I am really and truly going to commit to blogging once a week, and making some cool things for our new shared reading series, Journeys.  I have diligently been plugging away on my Journeys Differentiated Spelling Lists for First Grade.  (I know - try not to be so shocked!)  Anyway, I finished it!  Then I even went crazy and made a Facebook page.  (I can hear the gasps!)

Here's the first of many Journeys supplemental materials.  (I need to pay the bills - too many daughters need to go to college!)  I hope you'll check it out!
